How the birthday card developed

Special events often demand specialist personalised birthday cards designed by artists like Peter and Rebecca Kitchin. Your birthday can often 'flag up' an even more special event that can only be 'tripped' by the birthday. These special events include significant numbers like 1, 10, 21, 50, 100, you may gain a voting right or allow you to consume alcohol or tobacco, and eligible for military service, although in the UK this is unlikely at present. Coming of age issues can be tripped like a bar mitzvah on Jewish boys' 13th birthday. Jewish girls observe a bat mitzvah on their 12th or 13th birthday in Reform and Conservative Judaism societies while many USA girls have 'sweet sixteen' birthday parties.
Holidays have been created by the birthdays of important people like Jesus, Muhammad, or Martin Luther King, Jr.

For orders outside the UK please order a minimum of 6 cards (you can mix designs if you wish).
